Jerry J. Quick is indisputably one of the leading practitioners of retail real estate in the central Texas area. After receiving his B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979, he joined the legendary Henry S. Miller brokerage team in Austin, Texas. Thereafter he spent the next twelve years as a retail real estate broker active in the Austin, Texas market selling and leasing retail properties throughout central Texas and beyond. Rising to the level of Director of both the Retail and Investment Divisions of Henry S. Miller/ Grubb & Ellis, he not only engaged in brokerage activities but also was responsible for the supervision of the entire retail and investment divisions. In this capacity he was awarded virtually every honor possible both within the organization and the community at large.

In 1991 he joined The Prudential Owens Realty Commercial/ Investment Services as Senior Vice President, a position he held until 1995. There he continued his successful brokerage activities including representing major power center developments, project leasing, investment sales, shopping center sales, tenant representations, and land sales. He received the Pinnacle Award in 1993 as the 4th place top Prudential producer in the entire nation.

In 1995, he was recruited back to Grubb & Ellis (successor to the Henry S. Miller Company) where he managed the Austin office while also carrying on a successful brokerage career. Along with Richard Runde and Jack Weiss, he founded Quick & Company Commercial Realty, Inc. in June 1996.

To date he has completed over $1 billion in commercial real estate transactions including over 3.0 million square feet of leases and the sale of over 2.5 million square feet of retail buildings. In 1989 he was awarded the “Henry S. Miller Senior” award issued to the most highly respected broker in the company. Additionally, he is perennially named as a “top producer” by various local real estate associations and quoted extensively in local media as a “retail” expert. Jerry has a long history of successfully leasing vacant anchor spaces that have served his clients well in challenging leasing environments.
